Eugenia Olive Stassen, age 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010. Born December 8, 1921, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Minihan) Martin, who preceded her in death.
Eugenia was retired from Henry Ford Hospital in 1987, where she was a medical secretary for several years. She was a Navy veteran, Girl Scout leader, devoted to her family, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Chapel.
Survivors include her children: Mark & Nancy Stassen, Mary Catherine Stassen & Alan Lehman, Frances Stassen; her brother in law: Joseph Staszewski; four grandchildren: Erica, Vanessa, Gregory and Alex; and her great grandson, Brandon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, July 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Chapel, with military burial honors conducted at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
