Phillip Farris Obituary
Phillip H. Farris passed away peacefully with his family at his side on January 29, 2010 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Bezy Evans) Farris, Sister Norma Corrigan, ten children: Fred Farris, Howard Reed Farris, Mary (Farris) Ennis, Robert Farris, Karen Chevalier-Smith, Tim Chevalier, Jeff Chevalier, Vicki (Chevalier) Baker, Rob Chevalier, Holly Chevalier-Spears, and nineteen grandchildren.
Phil’s life reflected his love of God, Family, and Country. He was a graduate of DePauw University, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, and a graduate of Harvard University Business School. He had a distinguished career in the electronics industry spanning 35 years at RCA, Matsushita Electronics, Associated Mills, Oak Industries, and NCR.
He was an active member and supporter of the Freemasons, Service Club of Indianapolis, Boy Scouts of America, and Northminster Presbyterian Church. A veteran, he served in the Army Air Corps in World War II.
The calling will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Blvd, E DR, Indianapolis, on February 2 from 4 to 7 pm. A memorial service celebrating Phil’s life will be on Wednesday, February 3, at 11 am at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
