Charles Frederick Anderson died December 26, 2009. He was born July 4, 1924 to Carl Hjalmar Anderson and Maize Holland Anderson in Norwood, Massachusetts. He graduated from Norwood High School in 1942. He served in the United States Army in World War II as a member of 9th Air Corp, 594th Bombardment Squadron flying Group in B-26 bombers and participated in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy on June 6th 1944.
He married Velma Boyer January 23, 1946. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Indianapolis.

Mr. Anderson was a printer for 44 years, retiring as the Plant Manager of Litho Press, Inc in Indianapolis. Previously he was the Plant Superintendent of McCall Book Printing and Plimpton Press in both LaPorte, IN and Norwood, MA. Before his death, he worked 20 years part-time for Flowers by Baker.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife along with his children, Alan and Julie Anderson of Greenwood, Christina Anderson of Indianapolis and Cheryl Anderson of LaPorte, IN. His grandchildren are Marissa and Mitchell Anderson of Greenwood; Caitlin and Claire Anderson of LaPorte, IN; and Benjamin Gust who preceded him in death. He is also survived by cousins, like brother and sister, Dick Conradson of Sharon MA and Lorraine Palmer of Tunbridge VT; nephew Robert and Judy Brady of Woburn MA; and niece Karen and Brian Gordon of Bethany Beach Shores DE; with many other loving nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Friends and family will gather Wednesday, December 30 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the First Congregational Church of Indianapolis, with the funeral service starting at 3:00 P.M.
