Mary Beth Wood beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away December 11, 2009 in St. Vincent's Hospital. She graduated for Ball State University and obtained her masters in special education from IUPUI. Mary Beth was loved forever by many children and parents whose lives she touched. She taught preschool for Hamilton Southeastern School District for many years and influenced many lives. She also was a soccer Mom and worked tirelessly with Special Olympics. Mary Beth was passionate about her two children; Michael Craig Wood, II and Elizabeth Ann Wood who survive. Also surviving is her father, Roy W. Franks and her sisters, Marti Franks and Debbie Chapman along with her special friend Dale Stefani. Her positive attitude and determination carried her through life's hurdles. The Colt's lost their greatest fan. Family and friends will gather on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel with private family funeral being held.
