Eric Raymond Enders - Born January 6, 1922 and died July 7, 2018.
Orphaned as a young teen and a high school dropout, he met the love of his life when he was 14 years old and married her 6 years later. He enlisted in the US Army Air Force during WWII and upon his discharge used his GI bill to go to college. He graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, IN with a degree in Engineering with his wife and two young children by his side. Another child meant a larger home so the couple moved to Franklin, IN in 1954 where they resided until their permanent retirement to Bradenton, FL in 2003.
He was an engineer for P.R. Mallory in Indianapolis, General Electric in Shelbyville, and RCA in Indianapolis before opening his own business as an interior painter, wallpaper hanger and all around handyman. As an engineer there was nothing he couldn't tackle. In his leisure time he was a golfer and expert woodworker. After retiring, he worked as a greens keeper at various golf courses both in Franklin and Bradenton.
He was a brother in a family of four with five additional half-siblings. His sister, Anna Myers, survives and lives in Westfield, IN. His cherished wife of 64 years, Eva Glidewell, preceded him in death in 2007. Two of his three daughters live in Indiana - Janet Vargo (John), Carmel and Connie Lyman (Steve), Indianapolis. His daughter, Marsha Cerjak (Frank), passed on the same day in 2017. He has three living grandchildren - Erin Montgomery (Michael) Indianapolis, Andrew Lyman, New Orleans, and Chris Cerjak, Denver.
It's nearly impossible to put 96 years into a few paragraphs. His life was full and he was loved.

Janet, I am sorry to learn about the loss of your father. I remember him especially from the summer of 1964,when I worked for the Shelbyville News. We were in a ride-sharing group. What a nice man!
You are all in my prayers The Enders were wonderful people Everytime I go on Crescent St I go by your family home, I always have good memories of your Mom and Dad.
I'm so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. The Enders family and the Pitts family were very good friends in Franklin at the Presbyterian Church as well as the community. I remember many times when our families were together. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Cindy Pitts Hein
