Jack Harold Sullivan, 87, passed away peacefully at Hoosier Village on April 2, 2018. He was born in Bloomfield, Indiana on February 10, 1931 to the late Earl and Fern Sullivan. Jack graduated from Switz City High School, class of 1949. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and during his college years, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Jack proudly served our country for 21 years.
Jack married the love of his life, Virginia (Tiek) Sullivan on June 1, 1952. Together they had two children and later, started their own company, Steadfast Products Corp. Jack was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, where he served in many positions over the years; however his passion was singing, especially with his wife and family.
Jack will be missed by his daughter, Kimberly Loeffler; sister in law, Betty Grounds; brother in law, Kenneth (Linda) Tiek; nieces, Lori (Bob) White and Kiersten (Mark) Hagquist; nephew, Brandon (Michelle) Tiek; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
Jack sadly lost his dear wife, Virginia in 2011 and his son, Jay Sullivan in 2013. He also is preceded in death by his brother in law, Robert Grounds.
The family would like to thank Hoosier Village for their wonderful care.
A visitation will be held at Leppert Mortuary, 740 E. 86th St, Indianapolis, on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 3106 E. Carmel Dr, Carmel, IN. Jack will be honored by the U.S. Airforce at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens as he is laid to rest next to his wife.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
I am sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was a gentle and funny man and I always enjoyed working with him in various capacities at St. Peter's. He was a good man. Alan Bouwkamp
