"Pappy" was a true gentleman whose life had a positive impact on everyone who met him. His knowing grin always lightened even the darkest of moods. I was extremely fortunate to get to know Dave through playing softball on the team for whom he pitched.
I had the privilege to meet Dave through softball when I came to Indy. He was a true teammate and was respected by his peers. I will never forget his friendship.
