Clayton J. Antieau,
Born on February 28, 1930 in River Rogue, Michigan the first child of Marie Haltinner and Clayton J. Antieau, Sr. A younger brother, Arlow Antieau, born seven years later is deceased. Both boys were raised and graduated from high school in Lincoln Park, Michigan.
Clayton served in the Korean War with the Strategic Air Command. As a civilian, he graduated from the Detroit Business University and the University of Denver where he met and married Josephine Bonomo of Denver, CO.
Clayton is survived by his wife and five children, Clayton III, Robert, David, Ellen Marie Mogasemi and Mary Lynne Rohrman. Clayton was a manufacturing executive and during his 50 year career, served organizations such as, RCA, Delta Faucet and the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI.
Clayton was an accomplished professional pianist. In his youth, he performed with band leader Frankie Carle and was accompanist for Margaret Whiting in the early 1950's. He co-wrote songs with writers from the Detroit area. Locally, he served on the Board of Directors for the Volunteers of America into the late 1990's.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Clayton will be held Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 am in St. Augustine Home for the Aged Chapel. (2345 West 86th Street). Inurnment follows at Crown Hill Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor in his name.
