Robert Konrad Heisserer, 37, of Indianapolis, beloved Husband, Son and Brother, went to Heaven on Monday, October 28, 2013, while in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on a business trip. Rob was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 12th, 1976 to Karl and Barbara Curtis Heisserer and was the oldest of six sons. Rob was married to Sandra (Sandy) Hartmann of Cincinnati, Ohio, on June 30th, 2001 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rob was a graduate of St. Lawrence Catholic Grade School in Indianapolis and Cathedral High School in Indianapolis (1994) where he was Senior Class President. Rob also attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Sandy. He graduated from Xavier with a B.A. in English (1998). Several years later he attended Marion College (University) in Indianapolis where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education (2007). He was employed by Engineered Air (Calgary, Canada) and was the Indiana Territory Sales Manager.

Rob’s life was a celebration of family and friends. Rob’s life revolved around his wife Sandy, first and foremost, his large Family, and his many Friends. His other loves included his and Sandy’s four dogs, golfing with friends, going to gun shows with his friends, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and Chicago Bears Football. Rob will be remembered with the greatest Love. Rob was blessed with a wonderful smile and witty sense of humor. He will be cherished and missed forever, and his immense heart will be his eternal legacy. God must have needed Rob to come home.

Rob is survived by and will be forever missed and loved by his wife Sandra (Sandy) Hartmann-Heisserer – his mother and father, Karl and Barbara – his brothers, Joseph (J.P.), Eric, Michael (Mike) and James (Jim) – his loving Sisters-in-Law, Jenifer (Jenny), Bobbi, and Ashley – his eight nephews and nieces (Cole, Elizabeth, Ryleigh, Nolan, Oliver, Lilly, and Olivia), but especially his nephew Curtis Ray who became very close to Rob after his father, Rob’s brother, Curt , died in 2006 – his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Lou Heisserer of Oran, Missouri – his Father & Mother-in-Law, Bernard and Diane Hartmann of Cincinnati, Ohio - his Sister & Brother-in-Law (Sandy’s sister) Sue & Scott Barbee of Cincinnati, Ohio and their children, Rob’s nephews Joshua & Keegan and niece Emma – and many Uncles & Great Uncles, Aunts & Great Aunts, and Cousins. Rob was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Lee, and his maternal grandparents Clyde and Rosa Curtis of Oran, Missouri.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis. Prior to the visitation on Friday, a rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. for anyone wishing to participate. There will be a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, located at 46th and Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis. Rob requested in the event of his death, that in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be made to an education fund he started for his nephew, Curtis Ray Heisserer, c/o Leppert Mortuary, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Rob will go to his final resting place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, located at 46th and Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis

Donations Information
