Mary Worrall
June 11, 1917 - December 28, 2006
Mary Worrall (Nana) was a dearly beloved great grand mother I was very fortunate to have been able to meet her. One of the times that I met, her has at her cottage in old mission, Michigan. Wile I has there I noticed how she was so happy that she was usualy glowing. I could really tell how deeply she cared for her family and friends. She was truly an amazing great grand mother. I know that in my heart and the hearts of all that knew she can and will never be forgotten.

I loved Mary and will certainly miss her. Every time I saw her, I thought of my sister who preceeded Mary in death by 33 years. They were dear friends in Old Mission for as long as I can remember.
Mary leaves behind a wonderful and loving family as well as numerous friends. I feel blessed to be able to consider myself one of them.Carole Fenley / Grosse Pointe Farms, MI / Haleydog101@aol.com
Old Mission will not be the same without Aunt Mary. We loved and will miss you so much. I'm lucky that you were part of my life.

We are so sorry for your family's loss. It seems to be the time when all of us "baby boomers" are losing our parents and now we become the "older generation." May we all live up to the strength and dignity their generation possesed!

Nighty Boo to our Dear Aunt Mare, may she rest in peace. Now our thoughts and prayers are with the family , Jimmy, Trum and Judy .... and all your extended families as well. I loved how Alexis described Aunt Mary - she was happiest at Old Mission and we will miss her at all the different venues: on the tennis court, on the beach, YY cocktail parties and even some cold water swimming (1,2,3, go!). We will remember her with curlers in her hair, turtlenecks and sweaters, searching for her purse (needed those hearing aid batteries!), laughing at corny jokes and faithfully attending her favorite church every Sunday. Aunt Mare, no one will replace you. We miss you already.

All of us in the McLellan family will miss Aunt Mary. A summer at Old Mission was incomplete without spending time on the beach or playing mouse with Aunt Mary. She was a wonderful person with a large heart and a tremendous sense of humor.( and an excellant card player too !) Aunt Mary has departed but will live on in our memories and will forever be part of Old Mission.

Our thoughts are with all the wonderful Family fostered from a wonderful lady. A very big heart of Old Mission rests but will be forever in our memories -- tennis will never quite be the same. We all only hope to have as many happy years of family and friends in the warm sun.

Judy, I am sorry for your loss and wish you peace as you work through the next few months of intense adjustment and then the following months of missing a mother in things both large and small. May you keep loving memories close.

Judy, am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed sending your mom cards for the last year. I knew she would be unable to write back, but I enjoyed telling her what was going on and hopefully it brightened her day in some small way. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies.

Mary is an Old Mission icon. We will always remember her and her bike on the sidewalk, sitting on the beach thanking God for another summer in OId Mission, her quick witted mouse talent, her kindness and caring, her wonderful tennis lob shot ( as recently as last summer), her on the paddle board with Suzie, and much much more. Our prayers go out to her family who worked so hard to make her last years enjoyable.

For me Mary will always be in Old Mission. She is a dear and happy memory and thoughtds of her on the beach and on the porch are fresh and cherished. Her dear family made her summers possible and their devotion is wonderful. My deepest sympathy goes to her family.

A friendly wave from the dock, a petite figure in a floppy white hat going by on a bike, a big hug and quick check of the day's news. I'll miss them all.

We will all miss Aunt Mare. Old Mission will not be the same without her glowing smile and friendly wave. There are so many memories that we will hold dear but mostly her acceptance of us all into her heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Mare. One that stands out is one summer she arrived in Old Mission, got out of the car and started jumping up and down saying, "I'm so happy to be here!!!" She loved Old Mission and all of us in Old Mission loved her! Aunt Mary will always be with me.

I was deeply saddened by the death of your mom. As you know, she was one of my favorite people. As I think back I realize that I knew her for over 45 years. I remember the day that I walked into the dining room at Marquette and there she was...all full of spirit and spunk. You were truly blessed, Judy , to have been able to
spend so much time with her the last years of her life.
You will always treasure those moments. You were a wonderful daughter and you will carry her spirit with you
always.Joan Staubach / Indianapolis, Indiana
Mary was the definition of “a class act”. She was fun, funny, impeccably dressed (even with curlers), and unfailingly gracious. We’ll miss her warm smile, our chats when she came down the sidewalk on her bike, seeing her at softball and tennis, and her welcoming embrace (figuratively and literally). Although she dearly loved Old Mission, Old Mission loved her back even more and won’t be the same without her.
